Di Shimell MBAcC DipAc
Di earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Acupuncture from the Northern College of Acupuncture in July 2008. She is a member of the British Acupuncture Council (MBAcC) and holds qualifications as a supervisor.
Di’s interest in acupuncture developed after witnessing the positive impact it had on her dog, Jess, a Springer Spaniel who had developed arthritis at a young age. Following a recommendation from the vet, she initially approached it with skepticism. However, after the fourth treatment, Jess transformed into a new dog. About four years later, while seeking a career change, Di decided to return to college and dedicated the next three years to obtaining her acupuncture qualifications.
Di established Acupuncture Health after her qualification and has been offering acupuncture treatments at various clinics throughout Sheffield since July 2008.
To become a member of the BAcC, you must undergo training in acupuncture to at least a degree level. This ensures that you will be in capable hands. Additionally, it allows you to potentially claim back a percentage of your costs if you are enrolled in Westfield or most other health schemes.
